Who we are
A drainage specialist, not a general landscaper
JHL Drainage Solutions is part of the JHL group of home-services brands serving Chester County and the Main Line. Each brand in the group covers its own trade; this one does drainage, regrading and the water-management systems described across this site.
That focus is the point. Drainage is diagnostic work before it is installation work, and the diagnosis is what most often goes wrong. The same standing water can come from grade, roof discharge, subsurface seepage, an upslope property or soil that simply will not accept water — and those five conditions need five different corrections.
We are a licensed and insured Pennsylvania home improvement contractor. Every project starts with an on-site assessment and a free written estimate that states what will be installed, where the water will go, and what restoration is included.

What our estimate actually tells you
Drainage quotes are unusually hard to compare, because two contractors can price the same property very differently and both be reasonable. The variables are run length, depth, what the ground turns out to be, what the outfall requires and how much restoration is involved.
The single most useful thing a quote can state is where the water is going. A cheaper quote with no defined outfall is not cheaper — it is incomplete, and the missing piece is the one that determines whether the system works.
We put the outfall and the restoration scope in writing for that reason. It makes our quote comparable against someone else's, including when theirs is the better option.
