Process
How long does drainage work take?
Most residential drainage projects are one to three days of on-site work, depending on run length, depth, site access and how much hardscape is involved. Lawn restoration follows, and in cold months seeding is staged for spring because seed will not establish in cold ground.
In more detail
Access is the variable that changes the schedule most. A work area a machine can reach is materially faster than one reachable only through a narrow gate or across a finished patio, where much of the excavation may have to be done by hand.
Depth changes it too — deeper runs mean more spoil to handle and, past a point, shoring.
Exterior foundation drainage is a longer job than a yard run, because it involves excavation to footing level, wall preparation and membrane work before backfilling.
We give the expected duration in the written estimate rather than after starting.
